James joined the team in April 2023 and spent the first few months at the St. James's Place Financial Adviser Academy gaining his financial qualifications before commencing his career as a Wealth Management Consultant.

After spending 9 years as an engineer, James realised that this career path had become a bit too mundane for him, as he’d found a real love in investing in property and helping his friends get onto the property ladder, whether that was for their first home or as an investor. It was whilst doing this that he became aware of how little information was out there and the resulting confusion around investing and, ultimately planning for retirement. Ever since, it’s been a real passion for him to help as many people as possible to achieve their goals and dreams when it comes to their finances which is why he decided to formalise his knowledge and become a qualified financial adviser.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his family and walking his two dogs, Poppy and Piper. James is also a big Formula 1 fan as he raced karts from the age of 7 with his last season being in Formula 4. He raced against George Russell and Lando Norris most weekends in his youth and, funnily enough has also played with Damon Hill in a charity cricket match! He also likes staying active through regular CrossFit training.
