Heartfelt thanks from Shrewsbury based children’s charity for transformative grant of £5,000.

13 February 2024

Little Rascals applied for a local area office allowance from the Solihull office of the SJP Charitable Foundation and were delighted when they learnt that they had actually been awarded £5,000 as they had been named as one of their charities of the year in 2023!

Little Rascals are a 100% non-profit organisation, that provides help and services to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families - they provide an indoor play centre for children that provides a safe, secure and stimulating play environment. When they are not holding their SEND sessions, they open their doors to the general public for soft play and parties!

Thanks to this grant, they are now able to furnish their new sensory room with state-of-the-art equipment designed to cater to the unique needs of children with SEND. This sensory room is not just a physical space; it is a haven where children can explore, learn, and find comfort in an environment tailored to their individual requirements.

The impact of this grant extends far beyond the walls of their sensory room as it will significantly improve their ability to offer enhanced services during holiday clubs and other programmes, ensuring that children with disabilities receive the specialized attention they deserve.

Jessica Palmer-Jones, Charity Manager from Little Rascals says “your support is instrumental in enabling us to create a more inclusive and supportive community for these exceptional children. This invaluable support will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of local children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families.

In the landscape of small charities like Little Rascals, grants of this nature are not just vital; they are transformative. Your belief in our mission empowers us to continue making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. It's through partnerships like these that we can forge ahead, breaking down barriers and fostering an environment where every child, regardless of ability, can thrive. Your unwavering commitment to making our community a better place for all. Your support is the cornerstone upon which we build brighter futures.”

Sean Clifford, Wealth Management Consultant at Throgmorton Associates says “it’s fantastic to be able to help and support Little Rascals. The work they do really does impact on so many lives in our local community and being able to support them in any way we can is an honour.”
